Donated RM7,000 worth of medical essentials to old folks home, what should we do next🤔?
Couple weeks ago with an idea from our pharmacist👩⚕ to help the less fortunate, we decided to sell some necessities product bundles at below cost price at our pharmacy to help raise fund💰.

Staying true to our tagline ‘Really More Than Just A Pharmacy’, for our first Chinese New Year, R Pharmacy took on a mission to make a difference for the old folks at Xiao Xin Old Folks home in Serdang. As a registered Welfare home that relies fully on public donations, the home has found itself in dire need for funds and essential items to sustain the old folks living there.
As an answer to their wish list, R Pharmacy fundraised and successfully delivered essential needs valuing at RM 7,000! Items that were donated to the home are:
- Diabetic nutrition drink
- Wet Wipes
- Adult Diapers
- Antiseptic cleaners
- Dry foods
- Medications
We didn’t set up any marketing campaign of sorts and just thought of running it as lean as it can be so we could give it all 100% to the senior’s home. To our surprise the “donation starter pack” was all sold out😱.
Xiao Xin Old Folks Home was the care centre we decided to bring those donation care packs to. Seeing those happy smiles on the elderly’s face was definitely worth it👩❤👨.
The people of R Pharmacy are truly grateful for the opportunity to do more for the community. Although we have yet to reach our company’s first anniversary, we are truly thankful to all our anonymous sponsors for their generosity. Our genuine hope is that we will be able to make a bigger difference to the local community as our company grows bigger and better in the years to come.
The reason why we did all these is because at R Pharmacy we have our own 3R value (and no, it’s not the same as the recycling 3 R’s🤣)
